Naps, Carbs & Transformation
Well, here we are in a season of gratitude and in the middle of Native American Heritage month. I can't think of a better time to connect with the earth, observe nature and be healed by its beauty.
Last week I had the privilege to go up the CA coast for a few nights to unplug and to celebrate another trip around the sun. Among other things, this meant lots of naps, carbs and time in Nature, my favorite muse. This branchy beach bird was a gift on Cook's Beach in Gualala (Pomo for "where the waters run down"). The Beauty and simplicity of it, and its surroundings, fills me with awe and wonder.
Take a moment to look at all the colors, textures and shapes in this simple moment. Wow. With my face buried on Zoom or worrying about the next client, I miss this glory.
How often do I (maybe you too?) try so hard to make something interesting or compelling or unique, and end up over-complicating it. Usually I just need space, a different perspective and to strip things to their essence to make it most beautiful.
That's capital "b" Beauty ~ when we allow the time and space for the energy and essence of a person, place or thing to shine through ~ and it's the guiding principle of my work of Life Styling, and how I support women to transform. What a gift!
My wish for you is that you take a moment today to witness the wonder and awe; it's there, waiting. I would love to hear what you discover.
